A partial list of Motion Control projects

Glass Window Assembly machine

Glass window assembly machine for storm doors.  20 window sizes.   Manual load/unload of glass.  Automatic size change using a hand held bar code reader to control servo positioning.

Automatic Regroove Lathe

Developed a 3 axis lathe that automatically finds the location of a deformed groove in the shaft of a starter armature and then re-cuts the groove.  Runs 20 plus different part types.  Part and inspection parameters can be edited by the operator.  Camera used for finding the deformed groove, screening defective parts and inspecting the cutting tool tip.

Re-sealable Spout Insertion equipment

Re-sealable plastic spout insertion into paper cartons in filling machines (for milk, juice, etc.). 0.6 second insertion cycle time, 1.2 second overall cycle.  The plastic spouts were aligned with vibratory bowls, preheated with bar heaters and had a precise amount of hot melt glue applied during the pre-insertion cycle.

Labeling Machine

Developed a control for a Web Label machine retrofit.  Speed matching technology allows a wide range of web page and label sizes.
A simple to use interface only requires the Operators to input the web page size, label size and where the label is to start on the web page.  Background fault diagnostics display alarms with numbers and text.
